Readers might remember an article from 2019 which featured then 10 year old Forest Lake young photographer, Luan. Luan, having just completed his first year of high school at Forest Lake State High School last year, is once again taking the photography world by storm.

Luan entered the EKKA 2020 Digital Photography Competition in the school category and won a Commended for his photograph titled ‘Ladybug’ taken at New Farm Park.

He also entered the Australian Photographic Mono Awards and won Commended for his photograph taken at Mt Cootha titled ‘Butterfly Catchers’. Luan also participated in a BCC Eco photography walk with his photography teacher Fiona Bazley Hodges from creative arts school Bazil Grumble, at Mt Cootha and entered three images in the Junior Photographer of The Year with Australian Photographic Magazine. All three images were short listed, with winners announced late last month.
