Forest Lake Fifty Plus Club’s August activity was a picnic at Colleges Crossing. We had a wonderful turnout for the day with everyone keeping to COVID-19 restrictions even those who travelled by bus; all wore their face masks and observed COVID-19 regulations on the 57 seater bus.
On arrival at Colleges Crossing, we all enjoyed our morning tea, then it was time to explore the area, play bocce, listen to Bill play his guitar or even just sit around in the warm sun and enjoy the wonderful weather. With everyone back in the picnic area, our lunch was served and the fresh and clean air must have given everyone an appetite because lunch and desserts were soon devoured, and it was all washed down with a great selection of refreshing wines.
With everyone suitably fed, watered and fully relaxed in the warm winter sun, we reluctantly packed up and headed back home. Thank you to all those members who provided the morning tea, BBQ selection of salads, dessert and wine, also to everyone who helped with the cooking preparation and serving.
The Clubs ‘Extra Activity’ was lunch at The Forest Lake Hotel. Everyone who attended enjoyed their meal and a couple of relaxing refreshments, all-resulting in another wonderful gathering of Club members.
The Forest Lake Fifty Plus Club wishes to acknowledge the ongoing support from the Heritage Bank Community Branch, Forest Lake.
