On Christmas Day, a number of Lions, along with Premier Annastacia and Santa (Annastacia’s father Henry), attended the Forest Lake Lodge (nursing home) to hand out gifts to the residents. It is always great to spread a little cheer at the Lodge and the residents enjoyed the visit and their gift.
A thank-you goes out to all in our community who supported our fund raising efforts by purchasing our Christmas cakes and puddings and also a big thank you to those retailers in the shopping centre who sold cakes for us: Bank of Qld, Stella Rossa, Malouf Chemist and the Chop Shop.
On January 26 the Lions celebrated our annual tradition of “spud day” where we all get together and bring a dish to celebrate Australia Day in the Lions park.
