Our May outing was a picnic at Wivenhoe Dam.
Our members love our picnics, and this was no exception.
With an on time departure from Forest Lake, we made our way up the Brisbane Valley Way through Fernvale to our picnic location on the south side of the dam wall.
On arrival, we all helped to unload our coach and proceeded to set up for another epic morning tea – thank you to everyone who made their favourite dishes. There was enough food for everyone to have seconds! And they did!!
While the boys were setting up the BBQ’s to get ready for our sausage sizzle, most people took advantage of a fabulous day and strolled around the grounds taking in the views of the lake and its wonderful array of water birds.
Thanks goes to Bill, our resident “Johnny Cash’’ who kept us all entertained while sitting around relaxing.
Again, thank you to everyone who helped on the day, it’s very much appreciated by your committee.
The Clubs ‘Extra Activity on the second Wednesday of the month was a morning tea at The Lion Club.
This was a change to our lunches, and it was enjoyed by everyone who attended.
