Did you know that holding a BBQ is a great way for our Lions to raise money to support many of the projects and calls for help that we are involved in? All the money we raise goes back into the local Forest Lake community.
During December and January, we completed our weekly BBQs at Crossacres Garden Centre on Saturday and Sundays, and two Bunnings BBQs. There was a constant stream of wonderful supporters the entire day.
It has been a very busy time, and despite the summer heat, our Lions have rolled up their sleeves and given their all.
We are now able to consider a broader range of worthy recipients, from medical aids, cancer and diabetes research, and Lions Hearing Support Dogs. When you come across a Lions BBQ, don’t hesitate to come by and say hi and have your fill of the delicious sausage sizzle.
We are very privileged to be able to do some good work in our community. We are always looking for new projects and ways we can help and support people throughout Forest Lake and surrounds.Â
