Milton Dick April Update – Parental Leave, Anti-Scamming and Easter

As we approach Easter, I want to take a moment to reflect on the year so far. Parliament has returned with a focus on addressing some of the most pressing issues facing our country. We are working hard to establish the Housing Australia Future Fund, strengthen paid parental leave, address the gender pay gap, and create more secure jobs with the National Reconstruction Fund.

While my duties in Parliament keep me busy, I am committed to staying connected with the people I represent. That’s why I have held mobile offices across the Oxley Electorate, including in Inala, Oxley, Middle Park, Heathwood, Darra, Brookwater, and many more. It has been wonderful to meet with so many of you and hear your concerns and ideas.

I’ve launched a community campaign to stop scammers from targeting local residents, caught up with the early morning walkers at the Forest Lake Mob Walking Group, and inducted incoming school captains and leaders at schools across the electorate. I was proud to participate in Clean up Australia Day, helping keep our environment and community clean.

2023 is off to a roaring start, and I can’t wait to see as many residents as possible at my regular mobile offices and community events.

Whether you’re spending the Easter break with family or taking a break to relax, I hope this holiday brings you joy and happiness. As we move forward into the year, I’m excited to continue serving our amazing community and working for each and every resident of Oxley. Enjoy the holiday weekend and stay safe!
