The first day in May saw us aboard the luxurious Concord Coach heading to The Eumundi Markets.
We had a coffee pick-me-up at the BP Road House along the way before arriving at the markets, ready to explore all that was on offer.
We enjoyed perfect weather for browsing before deciding on what delicious delicacy to eat, ranging from sit-down lunches to Dutch mini pancakes, German sausages rolls and scrumptious biscuits with coffee.
There’s a lovely atmosphere to these long-standing markets, which are open each Wednesday and Saturday.
We had lots of laughter on the bus home as we showed our purchases and chatted about the day’s finds.
It was a fantastic day and a great way to see the markets without a four-hour return car drive from Forest Lake.
We also have a monthly planned luncheon at various local hotels which include the Centenary Tavern and The Monier Hotel.
The Forest Lake Fifty Club is a stand-alone club. We wish to thank the ongoing support from the Heritage Community Branch bank at Forest Lake.
Our monthly meeting is held on the third Friday of each month at the Old Inala Hall on the corner of Rosemary Street and Abelia Street, Inala at 10:30 am.
