The Easter holidays are here, and we’ve compiled a list of activities for your family to enjoy over the break.
EASTER EGGSTRAVAGANZA:
All are invited to the FREE Easter Eggstravaganza event held at The Lake Stage in Forest Lake from 8:00am – 11:00 am on Sunday April 2, 2023.
The event will include a free sausage sizzle, an interactive stage show, a jumping castle, colouring in competition, face painting and Easter craft activities, performances by Allstars Performing Arts, and it’s rumoured that even the Easter Bunny himself will be attending!

Host an at-home Easter Egg Hunt (Kids)
Plant plenty of chocolate eggs around your house or yard and send your kids on a hunting trip! For families with multiple children or big age gaps, I recommend colour-coordinating the eggs so the load is shared evenly (For example: eldest may only collect blue and green, middle may only collect red and pink, youngest may only collect yellow and orange.) You can choose how easy or difficult the eggs are to find depending on the age of the children.
Design your own easter eggs (Kids)
Draw an oval egg shape on a white sheet of cardboard or paper to your preferred size (I recommend no shorter than 15cm tall) and cut around the outline.
Using a black marker, fill in the middle with your unique design and colour between the lines when you’re done.
You can then either display your creations on the fridge or the wall, or turn them over and write an Easter greeting card to hand out on Easter morning.
Bake a cost-efficient Easter gift (Families)
Instead of buying a truckload of Easter Eggs, have fun baking creative chocolatey treats with your kids AND save money in the process.
Easter eggs can be added to almost any chocolate cake, brownie, muffin, or slice recipe – simply use them to decorate your baked goods. You can also add mini chocolate eggs to the mix before baking. You can choose whether to give your creations as gifts in decorative bags/boxes or take them to Easter lunch for dessert.
