More than 115 small businesses have been nominated by the community for the Inala Electorate Small Business Awards 2023, recognising the important part they play in the lives of those living in Forest Lake and surrounding suburbs.
Voting closes tomorrow on Friday April 21, so if you haven’t already voted head to the Survey Monkey page before it’s too late!
The awards were created by Inala MP Annastacia Palaszczuk as a way to recognise and acknowledge small businesses in the suburbs of Forest Lake, Ellen Grove, Inala, Doolandella, Durack, Richlands, Wacol and parts of Darra and Oxley.
Categories listed included health and fitness, trade and services, beauty and hairdressing, hospitality, retail and sales, and a micro business category for businesses with fewer than five employees.
“We have so many fantastic small businesses in the Inala electorate, and I am pleased to see them represented in the nominations I have received for the Inala Small Business Awards,” Annastacia Palaszczuk said.
“Small businesses contribute so much to our community, and provide valuable services that drive our economy, create local jobs and build stronger communities.
“It is vital that we show our support for our local small businesses as we continue to build back stronger following years of challenges.”
Nominations have now closed and Award winners will be announced in The Lake News’ June edition, and also on Annastacia Palaszczuk’s Facebook page..
