ANZAC Day holds a very special place in the hearts and minds of Forest Lake’s community, and no less so in the hearts and minds of the Forest Lake Lions.
For over 30 years the Forest Lake Lions have been attending ANZAC Day commemorations and this year was no different.
Eight of our Lions participated in the annual march through Forest Lake, showing respect and admiration for those who came before us and gave the ultimate sacrifice, for it is without their sacrifices, none of us would be able to enjoy the life that we are all so grateful for.
This year President Linda, as well as Lions Mary and Sandra, laid a wreath in solemn respect.
Lion April accompanied the St John’s Anglican College Leos in laying their wreath.
Being able to participate in the march and support the community with tea and coffee after the service, is something that the club is very proud to be a part of.
If you are looking for a worthwhile organisation to volunteer with, look no further. The Forest Lake Lions are always open to meeting new volunteers.
