Aquashield Bathrooms are Transforming the trade industry and your bathroom at the same time

Aquashield Bathrooms is a business on a mission to transform not only bathrooms, but the bathroom industry by leading the way in providing exceptional service, with customers at the heart of the business.

The family-owned business was recently nominated for the Inala Small Business Awards 2023, which voting will remain open for until April 21.

Aquashield Bathrooms director Angela Adamski said their core values are what sets them apart from industry competitors.

“We are dedicated to being leaders in our field, and it’s more than just fixing bathrooms, we are in the business of helping people,” Ms Adamski said.

“Our business is on a mission to be a stand-out trade company in our community, to be leaders in our field, and be paving the way for the rest of the industry to follow suit.

One of their visions is to change the way people see tradespeople by taking great pride in their work and providing a service that exceeds expectations.

“We get so much feedback from our clients about our amazing team – we are so proud of each and every one,” she said.

Ms Adamski said customer service was at the core of their business, and a lot of time and energy was dedicated to their customer service strategy.

“In our start-up phase we knew if we were going to stand out, we had to provide excellent service from the very first interaction a customer has with us right through to the last communication with that client,” she said.

“We’ve worked hard from the beginning to develop systems and processes to ensure every interaction with us is positive, even if the situation is not.”

Aquashield Bathrooms was born out of the home office and double garage of Angela Adamski and her husband Chris Rewers at their Springfield Lakes home in 2016.

Surviving as a new small business came with many challenges caused by lockdowns, Covid-related supply delays, floods, market shifts and rising living expenses.

Their team has grown from just two to sixteen, and they now operate from a warehouse in Wacol.

“We wanted to create a business that would support us as a family, so we could work for ourselves and create a life that was balanced with work and family, and also support other families in the community by having them join our team,” Ms Adamski said.

“We invest heavily in our team, ensuring we bring the correct people on board that are naturally inclined towards self-growth, striving for exceptional results in everything they do, and to be a part of something more.

Ms Adamski said it was critical for homeowners to select the correct trade for bathroom repairs to ensure the job is done right the first time by a licensed and experienced professional who can back their work with warranties.

“We see time and time again work that has been completed by handymen, or other trades not licensed to do waterproofing that has caused serious damage, and the poor homeowners are stuck with having to pay a second time for the work to be done correctly,” she said.

“Cheaper is not always better in the long run, and you don’t always have to renovate if there are problems in your bathroom, there usually are many other options. We do free assessments for peace of mind.”

Ms Adamski said it was a pleasant surprise to have been nominated for the Inala Small Business Awards 2023.

“To be recognised for the work that we do is so rewarding, and we are so grateful for our community support,” she said.

“We are leaders in our field, and it’s not just us that say so. These awards reinforce to the community that we are a trade business that you can trust.”

Their commitment to service is demonstrated by their in-house practical training facility, rigorous training programs, and highly refined operational systems.
