This month we returned to our regular venue, the Centenary Tavern, for our May meeting where we enjoyed an interesting talk from our guest speaker Dr Kelly Stewart who is an accredited sports dietician and a senior lecturer at the Queensland University of Technology. As we tucked into our supper Kelly and two of her students talked about how to maintain a healthy balanced diet.
A week or so earlier a group of our members went along to a very popular event, the Mother’s Day High Tea at The Miner’s Right training restaurant. The restaurant is open to the public and is one of TAFE’s hospitality hubs. These venues give TAFE hospitality students the ability to practise in a live service environment.
Events coming up include barefoot bowls, a trip to the cinema, walks and our regular coffee and chats. There is generally something for everyone so if you like the sound of what we have to offer, please come and join us. You will receive a very warm welcome.

VIEW is the only national women’s organisation solely focused on supporting and advocating for the education of young disadvantaged Australians. It is a non-religious, non-political organisation.
Joining VIEW is a great way to meet people, make connections and form lasting friendships. The Centenary Evening Club gathers monthly for a formal meeting which is followed by supper and a speaker.
