The Forest Lake Fifty Plus Club’s Annual Christmas Party was held on December 6, 2023 at the Algester Sports Club. It was another fabulous day with marvellous attendance from our wonderful members.
The staff of the Algester Sports Club really looked after us with a great layout of tables all beautifully decorated with a festive theme. We had Santa meet our guests on entering the room, and Fortunato singing in the background. Lunch was a three-course meal which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.
After lunch we held our traditional Christmas raffles and handed out a gift to everyone. Fortunato got everyone into the festive mood, he had people up and dancing in no time. Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end and Santa bid farewell to our guests who were escorted out to Santa’s Coach to take them back home to Forest Lake.
The Club would like to wish all The Lake News staff and its readers a wonderful Christmas and a happy New Year.
The Club’s Committee is looking forward to presenting another fabulous schedule of events for its members to enjoy in 2024.

The Forest Lake Fifty Plus Club meets on the third Friday of the month at The Old Inala Hall, Cr Rosemary St. & Abelia St., Inala at 10.30am. The club’s next meeting will be on Friday January 17.
