Happy New Year from Forest Lake Girl Guides!
We are hoping everyone had a fabulous Christmas and New Year. Our Guides finished off the year with a trip to Kmart to pick out some gifts for the wishing tree. It was the last service for 2023 and the girls thoroughly enjoyed sharing in the Christmas spirit of giving.
This year we can’t wait to welcome new girls to our wonderful Friday night meetings. Shortly we will begin planning for the term and the year ahead. We are very much looking forward to running at least two camps this year, and being able to get outdoors and take on new challenges. We will be spending some time dedicated to gearing up to our state camp in October.
Why not come and join us for four weeks for free to give guiding a go? We are welcoming girls from the age of 5 onwards.
Guiding offers a safe and supportive environment to learn about leadership, develop self-confidence, try new adventurous activities like canoeing and rock climbing and most of all we love to have FUN! Girls can earn badges if they wish to, and some of our older girls have gone on to complete their Junior BP and BP awards.Â
