Hip, hip, hooray for Tony Ryder, the February victor of the prestigious Heritage Bank Slideshow Award! Tony’s stunning capture of a water lily, gracefully reflecting in the water, has us all mesmerised. Bravo, Tony, for your artistic vision and impeccable execution!

Like clockwork, each month, the Forest Lake Photography Club transforms into a digital gallery as members eagerly submit their snapshots for the club’s slideshow. Thenthey cast their votes for their top three favourites. This time, Tony’s masterpiece emerged victorious, earning him the coveted title and the promise of an A3+ print of his winning photo, courtesy of the club’s top-notch printer funded by the generous grant from the Forest Lake Heritage Bank.

Mark your calendars, for the club’s monthly gatherings are a highlight not to be missed.

Every second Tuesday (except in January), at 7:15 pm, the Forest Lake Community Hall buzzes with creativity, camaraderie, and the shared love of photography. Visitors are not just welcomed but warmly embraced, invited to join in the pixelated fun and perhaps even discover their own photographic passions.

As we eagerly await the next meeting, let’s take a moment to appreciate the beauty and tranquillity captured in Tony’s winning shot—a Water Lily serenely reflecting in the shimmering water, a testament to the wonders of nature and the artistry of the photographer’s lens.
