To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Harry Potter, fans aged 18 plus are invited to a Harry Potter Trivia Night hosted by the Richlands-Forest Lake Scout Group at St Hugh’s Anglican Church, Inala on July 31 2022 at 6:45pm.
The night will feature team trivia questions based on the books, prizes for best dressed, floating candles and other Hogwarts-themed decor in The Great (Scout) Hall.
There will be plenty of butterbeer and refreshments for sale and the option for guests to bring their own alcoholic “liquid luck” to drink. Butterbeer and refreshments will be available to purchase with cash only.
Harry Potter Trivia Night MC and quiz-master Mikaylah McLaughlin said the night was going ahead after being postponed for two years in a row due to Covid-19.
“Harry Potter is a massive franchise … there’s a big fan-base for it,” she said.
“Several generations have grown up with it – myself included.
“There is a prize for best-dressed, so we encourage people to come in costume if they choose.”
The trivia event can accommodate up to 80 people.
Tickets are $15, and funds raised will go toward scout leader training and general costs including scout hall rental.
