We start by expressing our gratitude to Blue Fin Fishing Club, Paws for Hope and Understanding, Rev. Emma Nicholls, Service Men and Woman, Lions Club of Inala members, the Lake News Publications, and especially, all the residents that attended our annual ANZAC Day March and Ceremony at I.S.A memorial park this year.
The dedication and effort put in by our members into preparing for the service over the past months was truly valued by everyone, and the spirit of ANZAC was present. Special mention to President Lions Bob, Lions John, Lion Kylie and Lion Les, Lion Nayda and all who went above and beyond to bring years of experience to make this day extra special.
The Lions Club of Inala has been keeping busy in the month of June. We are thrilled to announce we are now going to continue to run our school projects 100% funded by the club. This is only possible thanks to the generosity of residents. Especially the ones that love buying a snag on bread and buy our lions cakes all year round. We would like to thank Heritage Bank – Forest Lake Community One for their support in the past year. Big shout out to Belinda and Laura who have always been there making sure we had all the support we needed.Â
We acknowledge Reen and Gloria also for their hard work since its humble beginning – we can’t thank them enough. Lion Nayda and Lions’ members will continue working closely with local schools, community groups and parents to ensure our local children have access to school materials.
This year, Lions Club of Inala will be celebrating its 50th Anniversary at the Blue Fin Fishing Club.
