Five individuals have been hospitalised following a severe two-vehicle collision that occurred late Saturday night in Forest Lake.
At approximately 10:10 PM, a Mercedes-Benz travelling south on Forest Lake Boulevard collided with a Toyota Landcruiser at the intersection of Renoir Crescent.
The impact of the crash resulted in significant injuries to all involved.
The driver of the Mercedes-Benz, a 28-year-old man, along with his three passengers — two men aged 22 and a 20-year-old woman — sustained serious injuries and were promptly transported to hospital for treatment.
The 52-year-old woman driving the Toyota Landcruiser was also critically injured and remains hospitalised.
The Forensic Crash Unit is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Preliminary inquiries are focusing on whether excessive speed played a role in the collision.
