Forest Lake’s first ever Show and Shine event launched at the Forest Lake State High School carpark on Sunday March 26 2023.

The free family-friendly event was attended by community members of all ages, who enjoyed browsing over a range of muscle cars, vintage cars, supercars, luxury cars, sports cars and motorbikes.

It was a great opportunity for car enthusiasts to share their pride and joy with others.

Prizes were provided by Forest Lake Ward councillor Charles Strunk, Oxley MP Milton Dick,  Total Tools Richlands, Hoggys Diner N Cafe and ilookproperty Brisbane.

The Forest Lake Netball Club cooked up a storm on the barbeque.

Forest Lake Ward councillor Charles Strunk commended event organiser Kylie Gates for her hard work on the day and in the lead up to the event.

“The event was incredibly successful,” he said via Facebook.

Milton Dick said he had a great time at the event.

“There was a great turnout of locals who were keen to see the impressive range of cars and bikes on display,” he said via Facebook.

“Thanks to Kylie and the team for making such a great local event possible.”
