Tiny Footprints makes a big imprint on new parents

Inala resident Coralee Andersen recently started Tiny Footprints in her home earlier this year as a way to help new parents afford clothing for their babies.

Tiny Footprints provides affordable pre-loved baby clothes and, more importantly, helps to create a sense of community for new parents in the area.

Coralee created Tiny Footprints during her maternity leave, beginning with the clothes of her daughter who is now 6 months old.

Coralee said the project was born out of journey as a mother and a love for her community, while wanting to provide a space for parents to feel connected and supported.

“I know how isolating it can feel during those early parenting days, so I wanted Tiny Footprints to be a space where parents feel understood and valued,” she said.

“Seeing how quickly little ones outgrow their clothes and knowing the cost that comes with it, I wanted to share that practicality and affordability with other families.

“It’s been heartwarming to see parents returning with their little ones and meeting new faces, all supporting one another along the way.”

All items are in good condition and low-priced to ensure families in need can afford to buy them.

“As a mental health nurse and a mum, creating something local and supportive became close to my heart.”

The journey hasn’t always been easy; balancing this passion with work, studies, and motherhood has had its ups and downs. But every smile, every shared story from the families we serve, makes it all worthwhile.”

Coralee dreams that Tiny Footprints can one day expand into a larger operation that can offer additional help for families.

“Right now, we’re a small, home-based hobby, but as we grow, I’d love to bring more resources to our community, like support groups,” she said.

“Expanding into a full store would mean reaching more families in a way that aligns with our values-keeping things affordable, supportive, and community-focused.”

Tiny Footprints is open on 12 Fornax Street Inala, from 9 am to 12 pm on Mondays and Saturdays.Baby and toddler clothes in excellent condition with no stains, holes, or excessive wear can be dropped off during business hours.
