A Forest Lake man was thrilled to discover he scored a $100,000 prize in the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot drawn on Wednesday February 14.
In addition to his $100,000 prize, he also scored a consolation prize of $2,000, bolstering the total to $102,000.
The first-prize winner, who purchased his ticket online, expressed his gratitude over a phone call with The Lott officials.
“Thank you very much!” he said.
“Wow – I really appreciate that – my wife is here with me. She’s smiling from ear to ear.”
“What an awesome Valentine’s Day surprise.”
The man revealed he would put some of his winnings towards an extra nice Valentine’s Day date that night with his wife, and would decide how to spend the rest later.
“This is going to help us a lot,” he said.
“We’re not long retired, and we’ve got a couple of things we’d like to do. We’ll have a little think about it before deciding.”
