Members from the Forest Lake Rotary Club attended the Seaworld Conference Centre during the Rotary District 9620 Conference 2024. There, we served as ushers to the guests from as far north as PNG and east to the Solomon islands and Nauru and west to Roma and St George.
They enjoyed the stories about what Rotary was doing and could be doing to unlock its potential from the many guest speakers.
A couple of musical interludes provided by the Ormeau-Pimpama School kept the programme moving. There was also a Saturday Evening Gala Dinner. What a great weekend.
I recently attended the Forest Lake Probus Club’s Annual General Meeting as our Club’s representative from the sponsor Rotary club and enjoyed some great catch ups.
The club will also be making some more donations of woollen goods knitted by the Forest Lake Crochet and Knitting Group, from wool provided by the club in the near future.
The club was part of the Easter Eggstravaganza held at the Lake Stage again this year on Sunday March 24.
