Forest Lake dance studio Allstars Performing Arts took home two 2nd Place awards at the BPAC Eisteddfod held across several June weekends at St John’s Anglican College.

Second place awards were given to Allstars’ Opens Tap team for Emergency and Allstars’ Opens Acrobatics team for Trip A Little Light Fantastic.

The Brisbane Performing Arts Challenge was the first eisteddfod of the 2023 competition season.

“I am extremely proud of all Allstars students that have competed at BPAC over the last couple of weeks,” Opens Tap teacher Georgia Eadie said.

“Our Opens tap team received 2nd place – it was very well deserved as they have been working so hard.”

Opens Acrobatics teacher Julie Pilon said the Opens Acrobatics troupe pulled off an amazing performance at their first eisteddfod of the year.

“Trip A Little Light Fantastic is a highly dynamic routine with lots of throws, tumbles, leaps and choreography,” she said.

“The judges were impressed by the student’s, stage presence, energy, expressions, technique, and timing.

“For some of our students it was their first time performing that routine, and I am so proud of the professionalism they all showed onstage.”
