The Australian Celtic Women will make a special guest performance at the Live Music at the Lake event this Sunday December 3, which starts at 3pm.

The show will feature crowd-favourite songs and tunes from various Celtic nations, followed by Christmas carols for the whole audience to enjoy, as well as songs by the Lakehouse Crew and community performers.

Australian Celtic Women is an all-female musical ensemble made up of 7 women with years of experience in performing opera, musical theatre, folk, pop, fiddle playing and celtic music.

“We’re really excited to be invited by The Lakehouse Trio to perform with them a number of our favourite Celtic tunes, and finish the show with some wonderful Christmas carols,” group member Miranda Peatey said.

The Australian Celtic Women first got together because of their love for Celtic music and culture.

“We got together because we all love Celtic music and feel a connection, either from our grandparents or great grandparents, or even the show “Outlander,” Miranda said.

Miranda said the group was looking forward to the opportunity to perform at Forest Lake.

“Come down and enjoy a fantastic show,” she said.

“You have two great bands – The Lakehouse Trio, who are known local favourites and ourselves, Australian Celtic Women, who will lift your hearts and take you back to faraway lands.”

“Christmas is such a wonderful time of the year and we are really looking forward to sharing our love of Celtic music and carols with the audience.”

Live Music at the Lake is a recurring event, which takes place between 3pm and 6pm hosted by local band The LakeHouse Crew.
