With our usual meeting venue under renovation, we have been meeting at Jindalee Bowls Club. At this venue the Committee have planned and cooked the suppers themselves, really showing their catering prowess. The below photo shows two of our ladies ready to distribute desert at our April meeting. These deserts were fabulous and, it transpires, a secret recipe of one of our members.
We had a great talk from Irene, our zone councillor and there was a special presentation to Sue Mason for 30 years of VIEW membership!
The Centenary Evening VIEW Club is very active, with our wonderful committee arranging an exciting and varied programme for members. Recently we have held our fortnightly coffee and chat mornings, enjoyed a pub lunch and a trip to one of the Tuesday lunchtime concerts at City Hall, to listen to A Tribute to Tony Bennett.
Plans for May include a Mother’s Day High Tea and barefoot bowls with a sausage sizzle. There is generally something for everyone so if you like the sound of what we have to offer, please come and join us. You will receive a very warm welcome.
View is a leading women’s organisation and support network that empowers women to have their voices heard on issues of importance in Australian society.
Joining VIEW is a great way to meet people, make connections and form lasting friendships.
The Centenary Evening Club gathers monthly for a formal meeting which is followed by supper and a speaker.
