The Forest Lake RSL did an excellent job of organising one of the largest ANZAC Day
Services I have ever been to.
In addition, there was a special service held at dusk for the animals who have served in our
Defence Forces.
Appropriately, this service was held at the Dogs QLD War Animal Memorial in Durack.
This service is growing each year and I encourage locals from the Forest Lake surrounds to
be a part of this special dusk service in future years.
Dogs QLD is a great organisation that host a number of different events at their grounds
throughout the years.
Along with Margie Nightingale, MP Member for Inala and Councillor Charles Strunk from the
Forest Lake Ward, I am a big support of Dogs QLD and would like to thank them for
organising a moving service for ANZAC Day.
