We were delighted to be asked to help at the Memory Walk and Jog event – Get Active, Beat Dementia – held on Sunday May 28 at the Rocks Riverside Park.

We had the BBQ going by 7am to feed the volunteers. The event kicked off at 9am and we were ready for the hungry participants with bacon and egg rolls and sausages on bread to satisfy their hungry appetites. There was a great turn out, good to see such a worthy cause being supported by the community.

Are you having a Christmas in July event? The Lions Club of Forest Lake has a limited number of 1 kilogram Christmas cakes and a few Christmas puddings available.

We will have the cakes and puddings at our weekend BBQ’s held every Saturday and Sunday from 10 am until 2 pm at the Crossacres Garden Centre. Come along, buy a cake or pudding and enjoy a sausage at the same time.

We are looking forward to start planning the Clubs 30th Anniversary celebrations in October 2023.

We are very fortunate to still have a number of our charter members, and and we look forward to catching up with past members at this very special occasion. If you would like to join a local club to serve your local community, please give us a call. For membership enquiries for the Lions Club of Forest Lake please contact Stuart on 0418 735 190.
