This month on our calendar we will be up for some fun and games. Come along and bring a friend too. It’s our Easter theme meeting. International Women’s Day will be celebrated on Friday March 8.
Our first speaker for the February 8 meeting was Ron Walsh who spoke on the topic “Stroke Safe.” As a person who has experienced a stroke, Ron was well able to deliver the important messages for all members and guests at the meeting. We also have a speaker booked for the April 11 meeting.
A very large group of members head off on April 12 for our much anticipated seven day trip away to the Hunter Valley. The trip is fully booked.
Also on the calendar for the month of March is great fun and games. Ten Pin Bowling at Zone Bowling Richlands followed by lunch at The Lion. This is a super morning’s entertainment. Book at our reception desk.
Our meeting for March 2024 is coming up on Thursday 14 March at 10 am. We have a change of meeting venue – we will be meeting at the Forest Lake Tavern opposite the Forest Lake Shopping Centre. Some parking is available in the hotel car park, but plenty is available at the Shopping Centre. Entry for the meeting is via the main entrance not the restaurant entrance. A modest entry fee of $8 includes morning tea. Raffle tickets are for sale too. The hotel has a very nice menu if you would like to stay after the meeting for lunch.
Our group is very grateful for the support it receives from all our local politicians and Forest Lake Heritage Bank.
To our members who are unwell or recovering from surgery, our best wishes for a return to good health.
