The club’s last game was meant to have been held at Meadowbrook Golf Club on Sunday 8th October, Unfortunately, Meadowbrook in their great wisdom are no longer allowing social groups of our size to book and play at their course! The largest group that can be booked is four players – and so our committee were left with no option but to cancel this game. And so, as you can imagine, Meadowbrook is now off our club Christmas Card list this year!
The club’s next game will be held at Virginia Golf Club on the 12th November, followed by our end of year trip – this year we are going to Royal Pines on the Gold Coast over the weekend of the 2nd & 3rd December. Our end of year trips always are very popular with our members and this year we have thirty golfers and twelve partners attending.
The Saturday game will be a Stableford event and Sunday’s game an Ambrose event with prizes for the best dressed golfer and winning pairs on the day. The Saturday night dinner also includes our annual award presentation, which will be held in a private function room, where we can all let our hair down and celebrate another great year of golf with our mates.
And just another reminder that our next game will be held at the Virginia Golf Club on November 12. This will be the club’s first visit to Virginia and we are all looking forward to playing this wonderful course.
