The Lake News Seeks more journalists

Jamie Furness    April 4, 2023    2 min read

The Lake News is looking for journalists, student journalists and writers who love Forest Lake and surrounds to join our growing team as we continue to tell its stories.

The Lake News and Local News Publications owner-manager Paul Jackson said positions were available to anyone living in Forest Lake and nearby suburbs.

“Opportunities exist for full time, part-time, casual, pay-per story and internships,” Paul said.

“We would also love to include budding journalists from the local high schools.”

The Lake News is a family-owned business that exists to celebrate the people, places and events which make Forest Lake a great place to live.

Our free, independent, hyper-local news service is published daily online and in print at the start of each month.

We believe that having journalists who live in and are involved in their community is essential for producing independent, unique and local news.

“Our journalists play a vital role in helping tell our communities’s stories,” Paul said.

“They are much loved members of our communities and valued members of our team.”

If you would like to find out more about becoming a part of our team we would love to hear from you.

You can send your resume and examples of your work to Paul Jackson via paul@lnp.net.au.
