Dear reader,

I was elected to represent the people of Inala in 2006. A lot has changed in our community since then. The people that I have represented have changed as our community continued to grow and the borders of our electorate shifted. And throughout all the change of the last 17 years, my love for this community and the people who call this place home has never ceased.

And I will reflect warmly on my time representing you. This is my home, and that will never change.

I was raised in Durack and I have many fond memories and connections with this wonderful and diverse community. It has been the honour of my life to step into the shoes of my dad, Henry, and represent the people of Inala. Your unwavering support for me meant I could go on to represent our great State of Queensland and deliver so many incredible achievements, like delivering cost of living relief for Queenslanders, investing more than $110 million into local schools in the Inala Electorate since 2015, securing the 2023 Olympic and Paralympic Games for Brisbane, and creating one of the strongest economies in the country.

I acknowledge that, at times, our community has faced incredible challenges. We have endured natural disasters, cost of living pressures, and of course the COVID-19 pandemic. But we are resilient in the Inala Electorate. We continued to stand up day after day to confront every obstacle with strength and pride. And every time I stood up in Parliament, to advocate for you and Queenslanders across the State, your resilience inspired me to continue pushing for what is right and fair.

No-one is more ready to lend a hand than the people of our community. And the leaders of our community remind us of that every single day. I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to the community organisations of the Inala Electorate. I was pleased to join you at the End of Year Community Group Celebration and speak with each of you individually to acknowledge the hard work and dedication you commit to improving our community.

Once again, it has been an honour to serve you and I look forward to watching our community continue to grow and progress in the years to come. Thank you.

Yours sincerely, A black background with a black square
