It’s been another busy month for the Forest Lake National Seniors with trips, meetings, presenters and activities.
Our branch meeting in June hosted a session on chair yoga and well-being for seniors leaving many of us feeling either invigorated or discovering a new pain we hadn’t known before.
July’s meeting promises to be very interesting with a presentation by Emeritus Professor Roly Sussex on the complexities of our language.
We have a bowling day planned for the end of June and a couple of visits to the City Hall concerts.
The ladies in the branch have had their Portifino fashion parade at the Community Hall while some of the men are going to the RACQ Motorfest at the RNA showgrounds.
There are plans in play to attend the Toowoomba Festival of Flowers later this year and our Belligen Dorrigo trip is fully booked now.
We have had a number of inquiries with regard to joining the National Seniors Branch because of the interest in our activities. It is easy – just come along to our monthly meetings held on the second Thursday of each month at the Hotel Richlands, 132 Government Road, Richlands, starting at 9.30 am.
You can attend three meetings before deciding to join if you so wish.
