Forest Lake Men’s Shed member Chris Hogan generously donated his show stopping Glen Maxwell painting to the Wolston Park Cricket Club as a tribute to his love of the game and club.

Chris has been painting for more than 30 years, and this year he wanted to paint a portrait of a sports hero that would inspire the next generation of cricket players.

The one-of-a-kind painting is of Glen Maxwell scoring a world-record one day cricket score of over 200 runs.

Chris said that he chose Glen because he has always admired his cricket style.

“I want the next generation to know that it’s okay to have your own cricketing style and following the norm doesn’t mean you can’t make it to the top,” he said.

Chris invites anyone interested in his painting – or who would like a portrait painted – to contact him directly on 0418578455.
